Who am I?

Based in Marseille, I have been practising photography for around fifteen years. This portfolio is my way of finally giving life to images that have sat on hard drives for too long, journey after journey. This work is the result of expeditions carried out over the past few years, across all corners of the world.

It all began in childhood, when I would get hold of the family camera during the holidays. The desire to capture new horizons never left me, and photography has always been tied to a certain idea of discovery and exploration. Although the initial goal was simply to bring back a memento, my practice has since evolved: today, photography sits at the heart of everything. It shapes the choice of destination, the research and planning, the pace of the trip shaped by sunrises and sunsets, and once back home, it becomes a way to travel again, to relive certain defining moments.

I find my inspiration in raw, natural landscapes, drawn to regions little touched by human activity, or at least those that remain as close to their natural state as possible despite the pressure of mass tourism. For me, photography is above all a pursuit of emotion: an encounter with a wild animal, the light of a sunrise, the wonder of an untouched landscape.

Aware of the growing popularity of photography and the damaging influence social media can have on places visited by tourists or wildlife, I make every effort to respect the locations I photograph, so that they retain the wild character that draws me there in the first place. When it comes to wildlife, respect for the animal always comes first: every wildlife photograph I take features wild animals in their natural habitat, with no baiting of any kind. When I work with a local guide, particular attention is paid to ethics and conservation.
